Everyone lies. Someone is telling the truth.

A social club that meets to play Mafia. Ten to fifteen people around one table, a game master running the night, and about four hours of working out who did it. Come once and see.

Doors

Turn up, say your name, take a nickname you will be called by all night. New players are walked through the rules before the first game.

The game

The game master deals roles in secret. Nights are silent, days are loud. Several games an evening, with the table reshuffled between them.

The table turns

A minute each, in turn. Talk, accuse, defend, vote. The table decides who leaves, and the table is wrong about as often as it is right.

By the third night nobody at the table trusts anybody, and everyone is still talking.

The record

Every game is logged. You get your own history: role, team, result. The club gets its leaderboards.

Your record lives in the player portal, and it starts the night you first sit down.

Questions people ask

I have never played Mafia. Can I still come?

Yes. The rules are explained before the first game, and most nights have someone new at the table. Nothing to prepare and nothing to read in advance.

Do I need to bring someone?

No. Most people come on their own. The table is reshuffled between games, so over an evening you play with everyone there.

What language is it in?

Russian and English. Nights run in both, and you do not need Russian to play.

Where and when is it?

Arlington, Virginia, near Pentagon City, every other Sunday. Doors at 4:45 pm, games from 5 to 10 pm. The exact address and the next date are at the top of this page.

What does it cost, and how do I pay?

Each night carries its own price, shown on the night's card at the top of this page. You book and pay in advance, and the seat is held for you once the payment lands.

How long is an evening?

About five hours. Doors at 4:45 pm, games from 5 to 10 pm. If the table wants another hour, the night runs to 11.

What if I book and then cannot come?

Cancel before the night and the seat goes back to the table. If you do not cancel and do not come, the money stays with the club: a seat held for you is a seat nobody else could book.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. You buy their seat when you book, then name them, and the club emails them an invitation. Your guest has to claim it themselves before the night: that is how they get a name for the table and their own check-in code for the door. A seat nobody has claimed cannot be admitted.

Is this gambling?

No. Nothing is wagered and nothing is won. Mafia is a social deduction game and the club is a social club.

The table is set.

One evening tells you more than any page can. Come once: the club will walk you in, deal you a card, and let the table do the rest.
